INTRODUCTION

The PRS Calibrated Skeleton Guns have been specially modified to limit the amount of cream that is pumped with each pull of the trigger, for one shot, precise Damp Proofing Cream injection.

The benefit is that Damp Proofing Cream can be accurately dispensed into the 12mm holes, avoiding waste and excess cost.

DESCRIPTION

The PRS Calibrated Skeleton Guns are Professional grade industry standard cartridge guns modified to limit the amount of product dispensed per trigger pull.

They can be easily converted to full stroke guns by removing the Calibration Spacer Tube from the trigger mechanism.

USES

For measured shot injection of Damp Proofing Cream into 12mm diameter holes.

METHOD

First, check for high ground levels, leaking gutters and downpipes, water leaks. A Damp Proof Course must be at least 6 inches (150mm) above abutting ground level (whether on the internal or external side of a solid, external wall), to avoid splash up or 'bridging'.

Having chosen the correct levels, drill 12mm diameter holes and blow or vacuum out the dust. Use one trigger pull for 4.5 inch (115mm) thick walls, two trigger pulls for 9 inch (230mm) thick walls.

1. Fit the extension nozzle tube and pull the trigger until cream just appears at the tip. Click off the trigger lock.

2. Now push the extension tube to the bottom of a clean hole.

3. Gently pull the trigger very slowly whilst pulling the tube out of the hole - imagine that you are placing toothpaste on a toothbrush.

4. When the tube reaches the outer edge of the hole 'click' off the trigger lock, to prevent cream from dribbling from the tube.

5. Move to the next hole and repeat.

Typical usage rates:

4.5 inch thick (115mm) single leaf wall - 1000cc (1 litre) per 9 metres, inject from either side

9 inch thick wall (230mm) double leaf solid or cavity - 1000cc(1 litre) per 4.5 metres, inject from one side or from both sides.

18 inch thick wall (460mm) solid or random fill - 1000cc (1 litre) per 2 metres, inject from both sides

Replastering Notes

Don't forget that replastering is essential if dampness has affected your plaster because of the 'salts' that come with the water: you have two options - either replaster to our specification using sand and cement, with Renderpruf salt inhibitor/waterproofer in the water or look at the Wall Membrane option. Wall Membranes offer a considerable improvement over sand and cement - they produce a warmer surface, can be insulated easily and can be directly plastered with lightweight, modern plasters, like Carlite Bonding.
