Easy to use plastic cartridge. Drill a 12mm diameter hole and blow out the dust. Then simply insert the Ultracure tube into a 10 inch (250mm) long skeleton gun and screw on the extension nozzle tube adapter. 400cc Skeleton Gun - for injection using all our cartridge tube products when supplied in single tubes, 280cc to 400cc. This skeleton gun may look the same as your familiar mastic frame gun, but there are two lengths in common use. The shorter frame takes only the 310cc cartridge size, whilst the longer frame version (about 10 inches - 250mm in the tube space) will carry up to 400cc tubes. For our Ultracure Cream you need the longer one, as shown here.

400cc Calibrated Skeleton Gun - the trigger that pushes the piston has been specially altered, so that one complete pull of the trigger squeezes out the amount required per hole, per single leaf 4.5 inch (115mm) of wall thickness. For coating masonry, brick, stone, floors and walls. Simply mix with water to form a 'slurry' - a smooth, brushable thick paint, like masonry paint. Wet the surfaces first and allow to dry until just damp. Brush on one coat, with horizontal brush strokes and allow to dry. Re-damp before re-coating, if dried right out. Apply a second coat, brushing vertically. This eliminates the risk of missed patches and pinholes. Slurry can be rendered over whilst wet, or prime with another coat, or use BondaAcryl.

Usage rate - 6 - 8 square metres per 25kgs, per coat, subject to surface roughness, giving a two coat coverage per pail of 3 - 4 square metres.

DPC Hole Plastic Plugs

It is important to fill the holes, either with these plastic plugs, or with sand and cement mix incorporating our Renderproof Additive. If outside holes are left open rainwater main enter. If inside holes are left open the cream may migrate into the render or plaster, if it has not be cut back exactly above the injection holes. This will waterproof the plaster or render, making it hard to paint and leaving a visible mark.

Masonry Bits

A good quality, sharp bit is essential in order to drill a clean, 12mm diameter hole. Always blow or vacuum the dust out of the hole before injection. Make sure that your drilling machine chuck and bearings are in good condition, otherwise you will produce a ragged, oval hole and the DPC Plugs will be a sloppy fit.

You can drill either the mortar joints or the brick, or stone, depending on the relative hardness of each. For example:

* soft, loose mortar - drill the brick or stone if porous

* beautiful exterior brick or stone faces - drill the joints

Have you considered the advantages of using our special damp proofing Mesh Membrane on the wall, instead of the more traditional approach of applying two coats of sand and cement Render, plus a finish coat of Plaster 'skim'.? Click here to see this option.

If you are going to replaster old walls you need to use this additive with your sand and cement base coats - DO NOT USE MODERN GYPSUM PLASTERS DIRECTLY ONTO OLD WALLS - e.g. bonding, browning, skim. Do not apply Unibond or similar adhesives to the walls. Do not add plaster or washing up liquid to sand and cement mixes. All these common 'trade' practices will cause future failure of your new decorations.

Renderproof waterproofs, plasticises and salt inhibits sand and cement renders. It is to be used for replastering with render, after the insertion of a chemical damp proof course. Concentrate to be mixed 40:1 with water in a sand and cement mix at 3:1 by volume, using dry, washed plastering or concreting sand.

Usage rate - allow 1 litre of concentrate per 4 square metres of render at 25mm (1 inch) thickness.

For use after replastering, either with sand and cement backing coats or normal, lightweight Gypsum plasters. This paint is special - it breathes - allow water vapour to pass through. The walls dry out properly and the paint does not bubble or lift off, as a regular vinyl paint might. Supplied in a plastic bag within a 5 litre tub, for protection in transit.

Water based, acrylic layer forming water repellent for wall and floor treatment. Repels water on outside walls, prevents dusting on concrete floors, primes and seals all types of plaster, render, brickwork and stonework. Can be over-painted or applied over paints, to lengthen life and reduce dirt build up. No solvents, no smell. Can be applied to a damp wall.

Dryseal Cream - 3 litres

A powerful cream containing Silane. As opposed to conventional liquid products, DRYSEAL can be applied in just one working operation to achieve the desired loadings for maximum effectiveness. Dependent on porosity, the effective siloxane ingredient penetrates the substrate within a short time (30 minutes to several hours) where it reacts to become a polymer silicone resin.

The initial white layer disappears completely and, since the effective ingredient is the same as in conventional liquid water repellents, substrates treated with DRYSEAL remain permeable to water vapour (allow the structure to ‘breathe’).

Usage rate - allow up to 4 to 5 square metres per litre, by brush, up to 15 square metres per tub.

Enviroseal Plus - 5 litres

Super long lasting, mega penetrating new cream Repellent Technology. Enviroseal Plus has been formulated to penetrate as deeply as possible into porous masonry substrates and this provides optimal protection against the absorption of water and pollutants as well as frost/salt damage. Special dimpled plastic sheet, with a welded on polypropylene mesh, which provides an insulating air gap. For fixing to damp or salty walls onto bare masonry or bare render, but not over Gypsum based Plaster. The Mesh surface can be either directly plastered with Carlite Bonding Plaster or covered with Plasterboard fixed with 'dabs' of adhesive. The Kits contain either a 1 metre or 2 metre wide roll of Mesh Membrane to the length that you specify, white fixing plugs, seal rope for the plugs, and double sided joint tape.

*The 1 metre wide roll is ideal for covering the bottom 1 metre of a wall that has been damp proofed. This material has a special very low dimple height, to keep the overall thickness as small as possible. This allows it to be plastered or plaster boarded and still marry up smoothly with the original plaster at the joint line.
